1- The commander of the faithful Ali (as) stated; Any work of value that does not begin with [bismillah al rahman al rahim/ i begin with the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful] would be defective and incomplete. (Bihar, vol. 92, p 242)
2- Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; One, who entrusts his work to Allah swt, will be always at rest and will enjoy a happy life. (Misbah-al- Sharia’h, p. 175)
3- Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; One, who comprehends [his inner self], will indeed comprehend his Lord. [In a better manner] (Jami al-Akhbar, p. 4)
4- Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s) stated; One, who familiarises himself with [regards to comprehending] Allah (swt), will not [over] acquaint himself with [other] creatures of Allah (swt). (Bihar, vol. 78, p. 377)
5- Imam Ja’far al- Sadiq (a.s.) stated; One, whose reliance and place of refuge is none other than Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will make him immune from committing wrong and hardship. (Wasail, vol. 11, p. 165)
6- The commander of the faithful Ali (a.s) stated; I am amazed concerning one who harbours a doubt concerning [the existence] of Allah (swt) , while he is able to observe [other] creatures [that] Allah (swt) has created! (Nahaj all Balaghah, Sent. 121)
7- Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, al-Jawad (a.s) stated; Reliance upon Allah (swt) is more valuable and precious than anything and is a considered a stride towards one’s perfection. (Bihar, vol. 78, p. 364)
8- Imam Ali ibn al-Musa al-Ridha (a.s) stated; Truth is based on placing one’s trust in Allah (swt) and not fearing anybody, but Allah (swt). (Tuhafat al-Uqul, p. 469)
9- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated; The more creditable the belief in Allah (swt) of an individual, the closer his relationship will be to Him (swt)(Jami al-Akhbar, p. 5)
10- Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; One who is aware of Allah (swt) will be more conscious of Him and the one, who is more conscious of Allah (swt) will consequently have less affection for [the material trappings] of this world.(Usul al-Kafi, vol. 3, p. 11O) 11- Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (a.s) stated; One, who wishes to be considered from amongst the strongest of mankind, must rely solely upon Allah (swt). (Bihar, vol. 71, p. 143)
12- Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, al-Jawad (a.s) stated; How can one consider them self lonely when Allah (swt) is his guardian?(Bihar, vol. 78, p. 363)
13- Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; The greatest worship or deed is acknowledging Allah (swt) and addressing Him with humility and respect. (Bihar, vol. 78, p. 247)
14- Imam Ali ibn al Hausayn al-Sajjad (a.s) stated; Showing desperation with regards to the mercy of Allah (swt) is one of the sins which can lead to breaking of all ties with Allah (swt) completely. (Wasail, vol. 11, p. 520)
15- The beloved Lady Fatimah al -Zahra (s.a) stated; God has forbidden a partner and counterpart for one’s sincere belief concerning his Oneness. [wahdat al-wujud] (Bihar, vol. 29, p. 223)
16- Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, al-Jawad (a.s) stated; Whoever relies upon other than Allah (swt) [with regards to unravelling his/her affairs], He (swt) will hand him/her over to them [with regards to unravelling his/her affairs](Bihar, vol. 78, p. 364)
17- Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (a.s) stated; Allah the All Mighty prefers his servants to ask Him (alone) for their requirements and needs(Bihar, vol. 78. p. l73)
18- The commander of the faithful Ali (a.s) stated; Your reliance in all affairs should be placed upon Allah (swt) the only entity who should be considered a lofty [protective] castle, a sure asylum and a firm and steady enclosure. (Mawaidh al- Saduq, p.67)
19- The commander of the faithful Ali (a.s) stated Do not place your hopes upon anyone except Allah (swt), and do not be afraid of anything except your sins. (Khisal-al Saduq, vol. 1, p. l52)
20- Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s) Be aware of Allah (swt) in such a way that [you imagine that you can observe Him]. [and be aware of the fact that] even though you cannot observe him, [He (swt) can] see you. (Bihar, vol. 70. p. 355)
21- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated; Remember Allah (swt) in your [moments of] joy and happiness so that He may help you [when you are faced with] calamities. (Al-shihab fi al-hiqmah wa al-adab p.19)
22- Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, al-Jawad (a.s) stated; Do not consider your selves from amongst those who apparently consider themselves friends of Allah (swt) but are [in reality] are his enemies [when their] behinds [are turned away from] Him (swt). (Bihar, vol. 78, p. 365)
23- Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s) The person, who wishes to know the degree of esteem or rank in the sight of Allah (swt), he should observe to what extent Allah (swt) has respect for him. (Ma’ani-aI-Akhbar, p.236)
24- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated; One who is resolute in pleasing Allah (swt) even though [his resolution] may displease others, Allah (swt) will be satisfied with him and will make others feel contented with him. (Al-shihab fi al-hiqmah wa al-adab p.48)
25- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated; One who fears none but Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will make everything else fearful of him.(Al-shihab fi al-hiqmah wa al-adab p.54)
26- Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (a.s) stated; One, who associates Allah (swt) to the likes of his creatures, he would be considered a polytheist and the one who describes him unjustly would be considered a pagan. (Bihar, vol.78, p.353)
27- The commander of the faithful Ali (a.s) stated; God will not direct you except praiseworthy acts and won't forbid you but ill-looking work. Allah (swt) will only guide you towards actions which are praiseworthy and will only forbid you from actions which are blameworthy. (Fahrist-e- Ghurar, p. 15)
28- Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; The fee for entry into paradise is none other than to sincerely utter the words; “La ilaha illa Allah” "There is no God worthy of worship, but Allah" (Sawab al-a’amaal p. 17)
29- Imam Ali ibn Musa al Ridha (a.s) [The merit of] Belief in God as one single entity (monotheism) equates to belief in half the religion and faith. (Jami’ al-Akhbar, p. 5)
30- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated; One who always invokes Allah (swt) and remembers him, Allah (swt) will reciprocate the same love for him too. (Bihar, vol. 93, p. 160)
31- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated;One who wishes to take a stroll in paradise in the future should remember and extol Allah (swt) as much as possible. (Al-shihab fi al-hiqmah wa al-adab p.48)
32- Imam Mohammad al-Taqi (a.s) stated; When one knows he is persistently being observed by the All might Allah (swt) where can he flee from Him to?(Bihar, vol. 78, p. 364)
33- Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Sajjad (a.s) stated; Whoever relies upon none other than Allah (swt) for the fulfilment of his needs, others will always ask him for assistance. (Bihar, vol. 78, p. l61)
34- The beloved Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (saws) stated;One, who prefers to be considered from amongst the virtuous, should rely solely upon Allah (swt). (Bihar, vol. 71, p. 151)
35- Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; You should have utmost certainty with regards to your faith upon Allah (swt) to be considered from among the pious and be satisfied with that which Allah (swt) has allocated for so much so, that you consider yourself free from desiring more. (Bihar, vol. 71, p. 135)
36- Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha(a.s) stated; The most God conscious (pious) of people is he, who surrenders to the destiny Allah (swt) has destined for him. (Bihar, vol. 71, p. 144)
37- Imam Mohammad ibn Ali al-Baqir (a.s) stated; Every goodness and blessings that is meant for the pious is hidden within whatever Allah (swt) has provided for us. (Bihar, vol. 71, P. 159)
38- Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a.s) stated; You should hold your hopes up high with regards to Allah (swt) mercy, so much so that you should never despair of his mercy after having sinned, and you should be conscious of Him to the extent that you should not become hopeless of Him forgiving your sins. (Tuhfat al-Uqul, p.315)
39- The commander of the faithful Ali (a.s) stated; Whoever keeps his relationship with Allah (swt) to the best of his abilities, Allah (swt) keeps His relationship with him/her to the best of His abilities also. (Nahj al-balaghah, Sent. 86)
40- Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, al-Jawad (a.s) stated; You should Know that you are never beyond Allah (swt)’s observation, therefore, keep yourself safe for now and find out what he has in store for you in the future. (Tuhfat al-Uqul, p.478)
